We were suprised to find a nice fresh push of Kings into the Kulukak and Togiak Rivers. We had as many as 30 Kings in one day for three anglers at Kulukak. And, the Mulchatna River continued to fish well to the very end last week. There was hot rainbow trout and dolly varden action out of our Sunset and Upper Nushagak camps over spawning Chum Salmon. The Agulukpak River yielded a few trophy rainbows again this past week also.
We had many kids fish with us this past week – As young as 9 years old catching their first fish (dollies) on the fly at the Upper Nush. What an experience! Another highlight last week was 7 Kings on a fly caught by David and Debra at the “KING Bluff” on river X. As a bonus, a few of our guests were surprised with 28” and 29” trophy rainbows on the Mulchatna and Togiak rivers. Another great week in the books!
